In God, We Trust
John Huang is the Deacon and the co-leadership at the Eugene Chinese Christian Church. Born in China, he came all the way here to Eugene to pursue Master’s degree in University of Oregon in 1991. Him, as a part of Chinese community, soon found this church nearby campus and started to place his faith in God. He has then become the Deacon of this church and provided service for nearly 28 years. He preaches, prays and stays with his fellow sisters and brothers every Sunday morning.
Keep the Wheels Turning
Teddy Franco is a bike mechanic at the Life Cycle Bike Shop in Eugene. He moved here couples months ago from Colorado, where he also worked as a staff in a local bike shop. He found this job that related to his previous experience within a few weeks when he settled and has since been loving here. He views bikes as his therapy, because when his hands are on them, he just feels better both physically and mentally.
